is the way to communicate with people all around the world anytime through the Internet and other technologies. It's the new form of creativity, allowing individuals to express their opinions with each other on the web. Technology has developed so many devices that allow us to communicate with each other through email, Skype, Twitter, Facebook, telephones, and much more. These tools help us to stay connected with our friends and relatives that may be living somewhere on another part of the world, or just down the street. Virtual communications has become an important part of everybody's life, simplifying things for people around the world. Along with
advantages, it has become extremely important in jobs, education, entertainment, and it would surely create a catastrophe, if virtual communications aren't available anymore. Some people need virtual communication every day, and it has become a part of their routine. For example, many people go to Facebook everyday in order to talk with their friends and family members. Also, virtual communication has affected the world negatively. However, this is also a big disadvantage because many people are getting addicted to these online services. Therefore, virtual communication will continue to become more and more popular. It will change the world in many ways as years pass by, and these technologies will also change the lives of many people around the world. On the other hand, it is also causing many competitions and rivalry. For example, major companies are competing against each other, and they are now advertising using different kinds of virtual communications. In the same way, students in school use virtual communications to compete against each other. Besides causing rivalry between individuals, it has also created hatred between countries. Therefore, virtual communication has many advantages and disadvantages.

A) Current News
Virtual Communication has become one of the main ways to communicate with other people. It is safe to say that virtual communication is slowly taking over our lives. There are many different types of new virtual communications that are changing the world. Some of the most popular new types of virtual communications are cell phones, video chatting, instant messaging, and Facebook. In terms of social purposes, Facebook is the most popular form of virtual communication as of right now. Facebook is an online social networking directory that allows anyone of any age
connect with anyone around the world.
. Facebook is especially popular with college students. Out of
69 million users, a lot of Facebook's members are college students. By using Facebook, these students are able to communicate with friends, family, and teachers. Many college students say that Facebook is very helpful when they need to contact their professors
at a time
when they could not contact them in their office or in class.
Another popular and new type of virtual communication is Skype. Skype was introduced in July 2004, and in a year, more than 100 million people downloaded the software.
It is a way for people to communicate with a web cam, and see each other on the screen. You can see and hear the other person that you are communicating with, while skyping. Skype is a very effective way to communicate virtually.
Another form of virtual communication would be
. Myspace was made in 2003, but it is probably used the most out of all the virtual communication tools. Myspace is a lot like Facebook in some ways but they do have there different features. Myspace allows you to instant message (I.M) your friends but if there is some one that happens to not be your friend it allows you to send them an email. Myspace has three different forms. There is Myspace (the way Myspace was at first), there is Myspace 2.0 (the more used and more resent form of Myspace), then last there is Myspace mobile. Myspace mobile allows you to enter Myspace through a phone, PSP, or any type of mobile device with internet (not including laptops). These three forms of virtual communication are definitely the three most popular forms. Virtual communication is becoming more and more part of our lives every day. It will continue to become more advanced as technology becomes faster and more efficient.
One more place to go would be tagged.
is basically the same as myspace or facebook but this site does not have an instant messaging (I.M.) system. This site is also made to meat people and get to know them for basic dating or other wise.Tagged is owned by its own company so there is a huge risk of there being some sorts of viruses in this site so be careful if you go on this site. There are good things about this site owning it self though as well. You can count on there being very little problems with the site because there are a lot of people working on one site, not 6 different sites like fox interactive media the owners of myspace, facebook, etc

Areas of Impact
Effects and Advantages
refers to instruction in a learning environment where teachers and students are separated by time or space, or both, and the teacher provides course content through course management applications,
, etc. Students receive the content and communicate with the teacher via the same technologies," (
). The virtual communications are used everyday by students and teachers in schools around the world. In elementary schools, teachers use the Internet to teach their students basic education, such as alphabets and single digit numbers. Also, teachers come up with interactive websites and educational games to make their class more fun. As a result, elementary students around the world are able to learn things faster due to virtual communications. In the same way, students and teachers in middle/high school are also depending more on virtual communications. For example, students can e-mail teachers their homework, projects, or ask questions, while they are at home. Virtual communication is also making education
faster and simpler
in many ways. Many schools around the world use their school website to post upcoming events happening at the school, and teachers will post homework, or deadlines for projects and quizzes on their personal site. Schools and teachers are being held back by the fact that their students are far more advanced in multimedia than they are. Also, the projects that teachers assign to the students are mostly done by technologies. In many cases regarding computers, it is the students who are teaching the teachers. Bringing
and multimedia tools to the classroom actually increased a schools' passing rate by almost 70%. This school in the Bronx only had 9% of their students passing math, when Jason Levy took over as a principal. He decided to integrate technology into the classroom by buying laptops for every student at the school. Within a year, the
had jumped to 64% (
). On the other hand, college education has significantly changed due to virtual communications. For instance, more and more students are changing to online colleges for different reasons. Also, students who live in towns, where the school systems may not be the best, and cannot afford to go to private colleges may switch to online schools for better opportunities. "Students can complete semester in as quickly as four weeks," says
National University Virtual High School.com
. As of November 2008, 44 US states had some kind of online school system, and over half of all schools use multimedia and the Internet in classrooms. In addition to choosing online schools, college students can also do their school work using virtual communications. Furthermore, college students can easily post their applications to colleges using these technologies, and they can also learn about colleges. Moreover,
has also increased significantly in colleges around the world. This helps them to learn about different issues, and they can also communicate with other students around the world using this source. As years pass by, virtual communication will change the phase of education of all three groups.

However, there are also many disadvantages of virtual communication. For example, cheating has been taken to a new level, and it has become easier than ever. Also, students can type text messages by using their cell phones to ask test questions to their friends. Though kids do use the Internet to ask each other honest questions about homework, tests, and projects; however, they also will use it for less honest activities. Students can post an essay on the Internet that earned a 100 for other kids to model from, send answers to tests and quizzes through texts,
someone's work as their own, etc. As a result, virtual communication is causing more students to get suspensions and detentions in school. The excuse "I forgot my book so I couldn't do the homework" has become almost obsolete, because most educational book publishers have released the book online that enables the availability of viewing textbooks to everyone. However, students do have problems separating the relevant information from the huge mass of misinformation that can easily be found on the Internet. Irrelevant or completely wrong information could be mixed in with the truth on a topic, leading to students reaching wrong conclusions on a topic. On the other hand, many students are using virtual communications to harass and tease other students at their school. For example, students will text inappropriate messages and pictures using their cell phones. Students use Facebook or other websites to use profane language with their fellow classmates. Considering these reasons,
has many disadvantages.

, also use virtual education. Learning on the world was extremely hard a long time before, but now the world has developed, and it has become easier than before to learn. By using virtual ways of education, it is extremely fun. One can conclude that the
has become a significant part of the schools around the world, and it will become more and more popular.

E) Science, Environment, and Health
Virtual Communication has been becoming more and more influential on science, the environment and health. For example, there are many new forums where people from all over the world read and respond to topics to learn about different health problems they may have. There are
where people come to ask questions and read answers that other people have submitted. Another way virtual communication is affecting health is through twitter, facebook, and other websites like that. The Department of Health and Human Services, and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention both have groups on twitter, and facebook with many followers. On these groups, useful information is posted and shared to the thousands even millions of followers. Virtual Communication has even been effective in helping surgeries. This is an extremely new technology where surgeries are performed by robots and are controlled by doctors on a different location. This means that doctors could be in a completely different country than the patient. This is very helpful for people, especially in different countries where there is not the right technology for the surgery. This new technology in Virtual Communication has made information much more accessible for people all over the world. Virtual Communication has also been having a huge affect on the Environment. Like health, there are many websites and forums where people go to discuss how to save the environment. There are many websites that have ways for people to help out the environment, like
U.S. Environmental Protection
This website provides a huge amount of information on the issues that the world is facing today. Another online community that affects the Environment is PETA.
is an online community with many members that fights for the treatment of animals and environment.
