Teacher Feedback from Mrs. Davis

Hi everyone, I've reviewed this page and also made some annotations using Diigo -- look at this link to see the highlights and information - http://www.diigo.com/07uk0

If you cannot access the annotated page, I've pasted my feedback below. The main issue is that you need to add hyperlinks and make sure that the whole page is in THIRD PERSON - this is to be written like an encylopedia article and not like your personal opinion (save those for the Nings) - I see some posting of comments bu tmake sure that you are replying back and commenting - looks like Hilaryy03 and Krysten are doing a nice job of replying but there are quite a few people here who said hello but had no replies -- replying is just good netiquette and helps you feel like a team.

You've made GREAT progress and there are a few things you aren't doing that are great -- some teams are signing their names to the wiki (you don't need to, the history tracks everything!) and other teams are discussing ON the wiki page itself (another no-no because use the discussion tab for that!)

o Make sure that you justify how skype is part of workflow software. Also, you may want to pull out how the new skype lets you screenshare and record a movie of that and has all these productivity add ins to help workflow go. comment by Vicki Davis

o This should be written like a wikipedia article in 3rd person so you'll want to rewrite this - also the current news section needs quite a few hyperlinks.How about all of the Google Docs and google type things that let you compute in "the cloud" -- also, things like timebridge let work flow around the world. Look at other things that help people work together like Elluminate, for example. comment by Vicki Davis

o Not sure I understand this- but I will give you some examples here - how about SIS (student information systems) like SASSY and Powerschool that let teachers and administrators look at information from home or school and also let work flow from one person to another. comment by Vicki Davis

o words and stuff - this is sort of written in jargon and needs to be cleaned up a bit. Also, there are no citations and hyperlinks - how do I know that this is true? Examples of workflow software here including the article I posted to the Flat Classroom group that show that the White house has gone "open source" with the whitehouse.gov website, using something called Drupal. comment by Vicki Davis
